1. What all is involved in making a video?
It all starts with you sending us your raw footage (videotapes/photos) of any special occasion - i.e. wedding, vacation, birth of a baby, birthday party, day at the beach, etc.

We then watch every minute of video and peruse through every photograph, mining for the gems and highlights that best tell your story.

Music is then decided upon to create the appropriate mood for your video, with the number of song selections dictating the length of the final video.

We then creatively weave it all together into a professional video production using Apple Final Cut Pro.

The edited video is burned to a DVD, a custom label and cover are designed at no extra charge, and the finished DVD and all of your original materials are then sent back to you. back to top

2. How long will it take to make a video?
Turnaround time is approximately 3-4 weeks from the time all material is received by us. back to top

3. How long will the final video be?
The final DVD will be as long as the song(s) you select. One song typically runs 4-5 minutes, two songs around 10 minutes, three songs around 15 minutes, and so on. If you choose one of our unique "Theme DVD Packages", these typically run longer, around 35-45 minutes, and consist of multiple chapters.

Note: Short movies are best when they are meant to be shown at a special event. It's incredibly difficult to hold a group of people's attention for more than ten or fifteen minutes. back to top

4. How much does it cost?
Please be sure to check out our PRICING PAGE for current rates. back to top

5. Does my raw footage have to be in any particular format?
We can work directly with most formats (MiniDV, Hi-8, VHS, DVD). Old Super-8mm movies, however, have to be converted to digital video. We outsource this, and the additional cost is added to your total. back to top

6. Can we include still pictures to be used in our movie?
Definitely. And if you don't have any video footage, we can still make movies completely from your photographs. Photos can be put in motion to tell a story just as well as video. back to top

7. What should we do about music?
Music plays just as important a part as video in the movies we make. However, we can only incorporate popular music from CDs which you already own. If there's a special song you'd like to incorporate but you don't own the CD, we can buy it for you (you'll get the CD at the end of the project after we buy it on your behalf.) We regret that, because of our respect for copyright law and ethics, we cannot simply incorporate popular music into your production other than from a CD which you own or which we buy on your behalf. back to top

8. Can I select the music for my movie?
Of course you can. But it's also a good idea to give us some room to be creative. What we come up with may surprise you. back to top

9. How come the sample videos look blurry or dark in some scenes?
The sample videos here on the web may have dropout, and might look blurry or dark in some scenes. This is a limitation of web technology. The finished video will be on DVD and the quality will be as good as your original footage. If you are unable to adequately view the samples, and would like a free demo DVD sent to you, please email us your address and we will ship one to you. back to top
